CMBUS Protocol Transducers

Description

The CMBUS protocol transducers enable devices with RS-485 Modbus Master communications to interface with various M-BUS slave units. They are available in two models:

• CMBUS-8: Supports communication with up to 8 slave units (100 parameters).
• CMBUS-24: Supports communication with up to 24 slave units (500 parameters).

Applications

CMBUS transducers are ideal for installations in Northern and Central Europe, where many devices equipped with M-BUS communication protocols are used for logging consumption. These devices measure parameters such as:

• Cold and hot water consumption
• Steam, gas, and electricity consumption
• Water temperature
• Volume, flow, and pressure
• Electrical energy consumption

The M-BUS (Meter-Bus) protocol is a communication system designed for reading energy meters, automating data collection through remote control or computer programs. It delivers key parameters of the systems it monitors, including basic electrical network measurements.
